The Dedham Vale is a protected area covering one of our most cherished landscapes.

Farmland, wooded valley's, meandering rivers and streams, pretty timber-framed villages combined with peace and tranquility make Constable country a place to visit and enjoy.

Nayland has been described as one of the best preserved late-medieval villages in Britain and has a rich legacy of timber framed buildings.

These stem from the area's great wealth as a centre of woollen cloth production in the late Middle Ages.
